The Dubuque County Library System emphasizes reading through programs and materials in diverse formats, to encourage reading success for lifelong learning. The children's staff strives to offer programs for children of all ages. The programs include preschool/ family story times, summer reading, game days, movies, holiday events and a book club for tweens.
Our children's librarian has put together some information to help parents decide what books to read to your children at certain age levels and what books children can read to themselves when they have advanced to that level.
